Girls Basketball: Allegan 39 Hopkins 22

Saturday night the Girls Basketball team traveled to Hopkins and came away with a 39-22 non-conference win. Tuesday (Dec. 17) Girls Basketball travels to Berrien Springs for a 7:15 pm contest.

Boys Basketball: Hopkins 65 Allegan 57

The Varsity Boys Basketball team fell to Hopkins Saturday night in non-conference action 65-57. Tuesday (Dec. 17) boys basketball will host Berrien Springs at 7:15 pm.

Girls Basketball: Plainwell 32 Allegan 24

Girls Basketball fell to Plainwell Friday night 32-24 leaving the Tigers 2-2 on the season. Tomorrow (Sat. Dec. 14) the girls visit Hopkins at 7:00 pm in non-conference action.

Open House to Honor Ellis – Dec. 20

The Allegan Athletic Department will host an open house for retired athletic director Gary Ellis on Friday, Dec. 20 from 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm in the High School Cafeteria. Ellis will be honored between the boys & girls games vs. Otsego along with 2013 state champions Kyle Simaz in wrestling, Christin Drozd & Kaycee

Boys Swim & Dive: Wayland 114 Allegan 69

Boys Swim & Dive opened the 2013-14 season Thursday night and fell to Wayland 114-69.  The team visits Ottawa Hills next Thursday (Dec. 19) at 6:00 pm.

Boys Basketball: Hamilton 62 Allegan 39

Boys Basketball drops season opener 62-39 at Hamilton Tuesday night. Friday the boys will host Plainwell starting at 7:30 pm before Hopkins visits on Saturday at 7:00 pm.

Boys Tennis Earns All-Academic Team Honors

The 2013 Varsity Boys Tennis team has earned Division III All-Academic Team Honors from the Michigan High School Tennis Coaches Association (MHSTCA). The team receive medals and certificates at Monday night’s school board meeting. To qualify for the MHSTCA All-Academic certificate a team must have a minimun of a 3.25 grade point average.

Bowling Teams Open Season with Split

Both bowling teams were at Coloma Lanes Saturday and went 1-1 to start the season. The boys team defeated Niles Gold 28-2 and fell to Niles Blue 25-5. The girls team defeated Niles Gold 27-3 and fell to Niles Blue 29-1. Cole Evans had the boys high score of the day with a 190 and
